The US Lineage I servers will be brought down for a brief maintenance and publish on Wednesday, December 22nd at 10:00 AM CST. The content of this publish will include the following:

All servers:

Join us on the Depardieu, Ken Rauhel, and Lands of Aden servers as we celebrate the winter holidays! All characters on all active accounts will receive a Christmas Surprise and 25 Christmas Cards in their inventory; surprises can be double-clicked to receive a variety of special gifts, and cards can be used to share in-game holiday greetings with your fellow players! Additionally, there will be holiday sights and sounds throughout Aden for all to enjoy, including an Orcish Santa to sell Christmas Cards and Christmas Trees for pledge houses, a Costumer NPC to provide “party clothes”, and don’t forget the snow! The event will commence on Wednesday, December 22nd with the weekly maintenance period, end on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 with the weekly maintenance period, and include the following:

Wednesday, December 22nd, 10:00 AM CST through Wednesday, January 5th, 10:00 AM CST: Christmas trees and holiday music in Aden City, Elven Village, Giran, Gludin, Heine, Hidden Valley, Kent, Orctown, Oren, Silver Knight Town, Singing Island, Talking Island, Werldern, and Woodbec, various holiday decorations in certain towns, inns, and dungeons, and periodic snowfall throughout aboveground Aden. Additionally, the Costumer NPC Celebra in the aforementioned towns will provide Men’s and Women’s attire/”party clothes”* for a small fee.

*The Men’s/Women’s attire polymorphs last for 30 minutes each and will not allow for spell-casting or for weapons to be equipped.

Wednesday, December 22nd, 12:00 PM CST through Tuesday, December 28th, 12:00 PM CST: Orc Santas and Satin Claws will appear throughout Aden and have the ability to polymorph their opponents for varying lengths of time. Christmas Cards and Christmas Trees for pledge houses can be purchased from Orc Santa, and be sure to treat him nicely or find yourself on the receiving end of a fate worse than a lump of coal! Satin Claws are aggressive Crabman-like creatures found only at night and are known to carry Red Socks, which can be double-clicked to receive one of four “gifts” (Red Stocking, Green Stocking, Silver Present, Gold Present); these gifts can be double-clicked to receive a variety of items, including crafting components, potions, inscribed spell scrolls, and all-class coins (Coin of Bravery, Coin of Trust, Coin of Wisdom, Coin of Reputation) with various potion-like effects.

Wednesday, December 22nd, 12:00 PM CST through Tuesday, January 4th, 12:00 PM CST: Event Reindeer and Snowmen/Yeti “spawn traps” will appear throughout Aden; these creatures have the ability to polymorph their opponents for varying lengths of time and are known to carry Cream Pies (food items only) and Red Socks. Additionally, Present Boxes will spawn around in-town Christmas trees and randomly throughout mainland Aden, containing a variety of “gift” items when opened.

Please note! All unused special event items will be removed from the game and are tentatively scheduled for removal during the regular weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, January 12th, 2005.

Additionally, item and experience restorations for the service issue from December 14th and remaining restorations for the service issues from December 7th will take place during this publish window.
